How we work with you

It normally starts with a phone call or an email to us from you. Then we will discuss your requirements in brief and of course the date. If we have availability we will arrange for Gavin our owner, or our front of house manager Mark, to come to you at a time to suit you and of course they bring you some canapés to try too!


Please note that if you require a Marquee then we are able to recommend a company for you to contact yourself. 

Alternatively we can organise this on your behalf at an additional cost.

You will need to inform your venue that “Jens Pantry” is your chosen caterer and that we will be in contact with them in due course.
Venues usually include the use of their kitchen in your hire agreement, along with crockery, glass & cutlery, but should we need to hire any extras i.e. hotplate/more plates or even more glasses, these charges will be added to your final quote.

Once your requirements are agreed we will then send you a free quotation.


At this point we ask you to confirm your booking to secure your chosen date in our  dairy and a non-refundable deposit of £1,000 is then payable. 


After you have booked and paid your deposit we carry out food tasting to go through finer details and any special requirements. 

If your quote includes a cake or wine the tasting for this will also be on the same day.


Bar hire - discuss your requirements with us; what you would like available behind the bar and quantities, afterwhich we will arrange the TENs (temporary event notice).


Finally, the amended quote will be emailed or posted to you with the final confirmation of our service. We then ask you once more to contact us again to finally confirm everything. 



In the months leading up to your special day we will contact you to go through your progress and to make sure you are still happy with everything. It is at this point that any concerns or changes need to be agreed.
1 month or 30 days prior to your big day your final payment is due, along with final numbers and food orders. Additional numbers can be catered for after this date at an additional cost.

Good to know 
At “Jen’s Pantry” we understand that you might want to swap or change a starter, main course or even a dessert on any of the menus shown, and guess what, that’s fine; we will tailor make the menu to your requirements.

Inclusive Extras
We cloth, dress and set up tables the day before your event. On the day we supply a basket of rustic breads, olive oil and balsamic dips as well as Farmhouse butter, plus bottles of still and sparkling water on each table. 

Extras for you to add 

We are able to supply complimenting wines for every dish. In this case we will supply wine waiters to open and pour the wine for your guests.

Spoil your guests by giving each table a board of West Country Cheeses, after your dessert.
Each board will contain Tebbutt & Tuxford Stilton, Wookey Hole Cheddar, Somerset Brie & Cornish Yarg dressed with Celery, Grapes & Homemade Chutney as well as a Basket of Biscuits for Cheese.

Even give them a extra tipple by adding a glass of port, which we are able to supply.
